Vintage signed German Designer Max Muller Orchid Book Piece Earring and Necklace set

€4,500.00

Vintage Signed Max Muller Set from 1960s, the brooch has been published in the German Magazine Schmuck in Jan 1998.

One of the most notable creative craftsmen to emerge from the Post War German jewelry scene, Max Muller crafts jewelry from cast metal and rhinestones, from faux pearls to glass imitation stones, his talent was recognized internationally, adorning international stars like Sophia Loren. In fact, he was chosen to create the necklace that she would wear on her wedding to Carlo Ponti.

He was among the few commissioned by Christian Dior himself to create exclusive designs for the Dior brand, and created exclusive designs for many films of the time. From models on the Parisian catwalks, to moviestars like Marlene Dietrich; whenever exclusive costume jewerly is involved, Max Muller was always there.

His other great passion was the cultivation of rare orchids, and this set is a prime example of his most famous works: Pieces where his passion for exquisite jewelry, and this most distinguished flower were combined. Every wonderfully delicate orchid leave was carefully hand crafted, before Muller arranged the design and expertly soldered and bent every flat piece of stock to create this wonderfull arangement.

The ghostly white contrasts beautifully with both the lustrous gold and deep, rich garnet-red Svarovski elements.
